Bahia Magdalena to Bahia de Tortugas is 253 miles. A couple days passage.

Situated on the end of a peninsula approximately halfway down on the west coast of Baja California Sur, this useful port provides a welcome stop along this fairly inhospitable coast.

This is a well protected natural harbour. There is a tall wooden pier in the NW corner of the bay. Approach the ladders there with care.

Gordo's fuel pier, the panaderia (bakery) and the tienda (market), the dusty streets of town. This small town of about 2000 - 3000 people (depending on whom you ask), is well established with stores, restaurants, schools, a medical center, churches and even hotels. The main industry revolves around fishing, but many small businesses are in operation as well and many locals cater to the needs of visiting boaters such as supplying fuel, water, laundry services and markets for provisioning. One of the largest and to find quite a variety of goods down the isles including plenty of fresh produce.

it's Enriche's who delivers the fuel on a panga. They use a Honda generator to power the pump and it's metered. I'm not sure about the metering as we took on 2 more gallons than I thought that we held...The price was only $0.40 US more than in Ensenada.

Town is a typical, dusty Mexican village. An Internet cafe which has good connectivity at only $18 pesos per hour.
